An idea so that more people vote is to open the screen... (below)

...in a new window so that people can just minimize it. And when they've played the game they can then vote. People can't be stuffed voting because they want to continue downloading stuff in the same window.

So if it is in a new window they can just minimize it, then vote when they've played the game.

Do you agree?

I agree. It's not much point having it straight after because the game is still downloading or installing.

boo i hate extra windows. there's the recent downloads list on the main downloads page so you can see what games you've downloaded and vote on them later.

In this case an extra window would not hurt ... anyways I NEVER use the current vote system as I simply cannot vote about a game Im just downloading ... I need to play the game before I can judge upon it.

When Ive played I have to go back to the games page and vote ... a separate vote window would be nice as I could minimize it and pull it up when Ive played the game a bit. Often I play the game straight after I download it. If Im to play it later I can always close the vote window which is not more annoying than the current system.

Great idea! Ive thought about something else for a while ... without saying so to anyone but now.

I rarely vote. I just push the back button to not vote.

I'd prefer a new window too. Usually I just click back, then minimize to vote later.

Yes, it the voting screen that the download links goes to is very annoying. If it weren't there, we wouldn't have to click around so much to do something else here while we wait to download.

A new window would also increase the chances that the downloader will vote for the game since they can just minimize it and come back to it after playing the game.

You know what would be a better idea? If that window said "Please remember to vote on this game" instead of actually letting people vote on that very page. Lotsa fake votes happen that way.
