This object is really bugging me. First, I try to load a picture (gif) at the start of level: won't work, It's just an empty screen. If I choose a picture from the selector some pics will work and other just turns black. Someone who knows how this object really works?

That was very strange because it says you can use bmp, dib, rle, pcx, gif, lbm, iff. AND some of my .gifs DID work and some turned out completely black. And it only works if you choose it from the selector. This is very confusing because it worked perfect in another game!

I just checked and tgf can't import jpegs into the animation editor but it can import gifs
its the same for the picture object, gifs do work but jpegs dont (i didnt know that either)

tgf supports bmp, dib, rle, pcx, gif, lbm and iff files. it says when browsing using the picture object

and no png either

Mabye the files that dont work are at a different address?

Well, .gif doesn't seems to work s good... Anyway, I think I will use 256 color .bmp instead, they wont take up too much space and they look okey. But somehow they only look good in a 16 million application? dunno why

You need to palletetize the pictures in accordance with the level palette or change the level palette to suit the pictures

Pallette: 32bit TGF only.

TGF supports gifs, just not weird ones. Animation Shop saves them openable in TGF(but TGF can only load 1 frame at a time).
