Ok, I draw all my graphics in paint, and when animating I like to be able to veiw my sprites to check if they look right. It can also be handy to be able to upload your animations for online critiques.

Im really sick of MMFs picture editor, and apart from TGFs less than extensive colour collection, I also have that annoying speed bug in my TGF picture editor. SO I ran a DC search for 'animation.' I found one link to a program called unFREEZE, however it involves me saving my PNG images as GIFs, which loses ALOT of colour detail.

Now I would like to ask what programs you people use, and if saving all my work as GIFs is my only option, and if this is really obvious question that everyone should know the answer to.

Thanks,

Well, there are actually some programs that allow you to save GIFs with higher color quality than 256 colors.

Have you checked sites such as downloads.com and searched for Animation Compiler or Animation Maker?

Well I used to do it on Jasc's Animation Shop 3.0 which you can compile your animation and see them:

http://www.jasc.com

You can download the trial version from that site.
Or click here for the products list:

if i ever used a program like that...i'd just screen shot my creation, and put it in a gif via paint..then to mmf or some crazy thing.
