Does any one know how to make FMV? Im makin a game in MMF and need to know how.
Also, does anyone have some good top down custom movement engines?

the only time i've seen FMVs used in a click game was Entrance Gate; i don't know how Jannis (the creator) did it though. as for custom movements, do an article search http://create-gamescom.winstemp.com/cs_search.asp

FMV is a bitch to make, and unless you have experience with 3D programs or maybe even live action photography, it's pretty much impossible.

ok if i cant do FMV (which I prolly cant) what do ya'll think is the best way to do cutscenes without making them boring, or using up a ton of MB.

Make them yourself in MMF, using active objects and stuff... so the user can choose when to go on and stuff that's all nice like.

Just do them in engine and drop little black bars in at the top and bottem to give the image a nice 16:9 ratio. Script out everything, and do cool stuff with the camera to give it a more cinematic feel. Alternately, you could do it comic-book style with pans of still images to convey the story. There's a hundred ways to do it and it's just a matter of finding one that fits the mood of your game.
