...or tutorial on how to make one.

What do you think the best one is? I need to find one to see how to make one, but the 3 tutorials I have tried have turned out to be not so good.

I would say the platform movement object is the best one.

Most custom platform movement engines I've tried have fixed the little bugs (being able to stick to ceilings, not being able to move left or right after hitting an obstacle in mid-air), but otherwise have a few little problems that make it awkward to play. Like lack of acceleration and plenty of other stuff. Not worth extra complications IMO.

 
Why's there a star next to the Sig? What if I don't want a sig? This sucks.

...i have a version of the default platform movement that is bugfree as long as you dont try to make ladders... ill upload it soon and post it here

Allright, thanks everybody, I made a working CPM of my own that works well (with a few bugs that should be easy to fix).
