Multimedia Fusion is what most people around here use. Easy as pie to learn and has a 30-day demo (actually, it never expires) so you can see if you like it.

the way i see it:

MMF = £90
TGF = £30

so, save up three times longer and get a piece of software 10 times better.

If your into having power and being able to make complex games with tuns of features MMF is definately better, but if you want simple, but still very fun games you can get TGF Pro for free. There are a lot of very good TGF games out there so don't be put down by thinking its rubbish.

Get GF pro.
Make really awesome uber game.
Sell to 200 people for 50c each.
Get MMF.

Im still working on steps one, two, three and four.

Honestly though, TGF is really easy to use, once you get the hang of it. There are a lot of people here that will help if you have problems.

It's about £75, which would give you just enough money to buy half of a console game or TDC's hosting bill for a month or so
