It would be better if they where displayed as animated pictures on a link, because now we can:

1. Steal them.
2. Have to open them in MMF/TGF and MMF takes a long time to start up.

Now let's talk sprites. The first one looks ok, maybe the animation needs slowing down. But for the 2nd one, he just looks like he has some sort of deformality. The people need to swing their arms and move their legs forward not just up and down.

Hehe,
1. How many open sources haven't been submit here on DC? Besides, is it really such good graphic that someone would STEAL it?
2. No comments.
3. Wich one is the first sprite? We haven't put a yellow dott on one of them for nothing

I'm afraid it looks like they are tap-dancing-or walking in zombie-fashion.
Bipedal motion is not an easy thing for any of us to get the feel for. Take some stick figure drawings and plot out how someone moves, then try to animate around those pics.
It is hard to tell which is the better animation, but keep trying at it.

Mayhaps.

I drew a stickman. Then I drew some blocks. Then I animated the stickman. Then I made ladders, and a custom movement engine, with monsters and traps. Now stickman Quest has 6 levels, and I never finished the rest.

The boss I drew(giant slime beast) looks pretty cool though...

I just realized I didn't describe how this relates to your post...

Ok, what you have to do is draw(on paper) what you want your char to look like. Draw him with in 2 phases, left leg in front, right in back, and right leg in front, left in back. Now, pick a direction(90ºangle or 180º angle(pick 90º for your current char)) and redraw him. Now work on getting the leg in back IN BACK on both chars. After you create a realistic stationary "walk" focus on the "frames" inbetween..on paper start drawing every "phase" of the walk, consisting of atleast 5 frames. Once it looks pretty good, try to mimick that on your comp, using black lines. Once your "stickman" looks like he's walking, add all the features(legs, filled in and coloured, etc.).

Hope this helps.

Quite frankly, both sprites look like ass, but the one w/o the yellow dot looks a little better.

Isaac: Already done. Why do you think we posted this?
Kramy: Thanks, have you any tips where you DON'T need to think on when you do the bases? We maybe can try this one an other time.
Kirby: We don't appreciate that kind of words, thank you.

Conclusion:
We will use the animation with the yellow dot (we will of course remove the dot)
