Sigh. After years of getting frustrated that TGF always screwed the colours of my various sprites I collect off the internet while adapting them to its 256 colour pallete, I finally discovered that I can put it into 16 Million Colour mode.
Which I did.
Only to discover that the colours end up much worse, almost as if they were inverted. Every time I Paste an image, it comes out looking really weird.

How can I fix this? I'm using the 32 Bit version under Windows XP, and have the latest patch.

maybe the pictures that you try to import has a special color pallete.... to fix it you can try to open the picture in paint then copy it... and then you should paste it in a NEW paint window and then re-select it and copy it into tgf

16 mill is not normaly needed, try the one in the middle of the 2. its like 32 somthin colors. also, there is a ultra usefull tool to steal any color anywhere, its a little magnifier glass, that gives you color codes in all formats (e.g html, RGB) the install file is called htmlcol.zip no install required, just whoop it out when you need it. if you cant find it in a search engine, il try to find the download url. im just to lazy

It's 32768 colors. Don't use 16 million, it'll add a lot of unnecessary size to your game file.

If you have nice images whatsoever that you didnt hand make yourself, use more then 256 colors. Importing pictures in 256 mode will just make you frustrated.

But try if you can, to get 256 colors. It gives better performance, and smaller game size.
