so yeah im having this strange issue, right after i create an object and give it some animations etc, once i click ok the object suddenly vanishes, as if i had never made it. anyone know why this happens? it only happens every once in a while, i just find it irritating.

They get destroyed after the destroy animation finishes playing. Thats something thats hard coded in to active obejcts.

This has happened to me in some of my larger projects. I've put it down to a bug, but haven't been able to reproduce it. It happened a couple of times when I didn't create a Stopped animation so I wonder if that may have something to do with it.

Are you saying the object is destroyed during runtime just after it's created with events, or that the object disappears from the level editor after you add/edit animations and click OK? Have you checked the workspace toolbar to see if the object is still listed in it?

I don't know about siven but here's how it happens for me:

> Create New Object
> Place the default diamond on the playfield
> Double-click to edit animations
> Draw some frames, click OK
> Object is gone from the frame and objects list

Wow weird. I've never had that happen. Is this on the latest build? 2 or 2.5?

@ nim, thats exactly what happens to me.
im using mmf2, with the latest build and its a legit version, not a crack (cuz i know a lot of people with those, and those dont count cuz bugs are more likely anyway)

Does it happen on new projects too? If not then your mfa must be bugged. The only option is to copy the code and objects to a new project.

I've heard of others with this problem before. It only happens to me when I try to preload all active game objects on one level. Once I have a few dozen active objects on screen, there's a small chance that when I make a new active, it'll disappear when I try to edit it. I've also double-clicked an active to edit it and MMF opens the graphic editor for a completely different active. I doubt it's the same sort of issue you're experiencing, though.
