Hi... as you may or may not know about me, I enjoy making games for fun. However lately I have been at a loss for what to make. I usually make the MLP:FiM villains as bosses but now I am honestly getting tired of that, and I feel like I am over using them. Its not like I have any other ideas though. I don't know how many people here would be interested in this, but I thought of a little contest idea.
Basically I started a few projects and am going to provide the source code for them. Then you can make whatever you want with them. The source code contains the content of the following youtube videos (please watch them before you enter):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoEEaPvrTvo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCNSBMROi2E

Guidelines (are flexible and not absolute):
- the title of your game can be anything you want
- Tippi must remain a playable character but multiple playable characters and/or character select is okay
- Rayquaza must remain a boss in your game, however ALL other levels and boss characters can be entirely of your choosing
- feel free to change minor graphics (backgrounds, texts, etc) and the way things look
- feel free to change minor things about the game mechanics... for example you may give the player a health bar instead of the provided touhou life star system
- I care more about the tippi vs rayquaza boss battle than the rest. The Hina touhou animations don't have to be used, but they can be.
- I would appriciate if you credit me... and definitely show me what you make!
- I would like you to give me the source code for your entry, if you don't mind.
- content comes as is, but feel free to ask questions! I know there is the chance you will think my source code is sloppy... if so then ask questions! If you have suggestions for how to make this contest more worth your while, please tell me!
- watch the dialog on "frame 2" for some help. look at the long names of some objects for more help. read the included text file for controls and credits.

rules (are mostly absolute)
- no gore, sexual content, or bullying (of real life entities) is allowed to be featured in your game
- you may enter regardless of your skill level. however as I said before, the source code may be sloppy so use at your own risk. I am hoping if you have problems you will rely on your own skills to fix them creatively instead of relying on me to make things perfectly.
- no one may bully me over this. if you don't like this idea, or think it will be unpopular (I am making the post with the unfortunate idea that it probably will be, but am attempting anyways) then say so politely and/or don't enter
- no one may bully someone else over their entry
- this is totally for fun. although I am calling this a contest, there will not be any winners chosen. I just wanna see what kind of entries people make.
- you are entering with full knowledge that you are making a fan game that uses ripped resources. if you are a copyright nazi who thinks "ohhhhh fan games are illegal", please don't enter, and please don't respond to this topic.
- I reserve the right to continue making my own version of this source code too.
- Please don't sell the games for money. but if you make youtube videos of them and make a little bit of google adsense money, I am not gonna care.
- I reserve the right to abort this contest if it is as unpopular as I think it is gonna be. I am experimenting. And I post this with nervousness due to experiences with bullies.
- Unicode addon and full version of MMF2 required to open source code. sorry.

Sorry if this post seems jumbled. feel free to help me unjumble it.
In case it isn't clear enough. Hina is from Touhou, Tippi is from Super Paper Mario, and Rayquaza is from Pokemon.

What's the "unicode addon"? I downloaded your source file but when attempting to open it I received an "unknown format" error, and I'm fairly certain the add-on is it.

Any help on this?

the unicode addon is an addon for MMF2 that costs $49. I first used it when I made "Meloetta: Melody of Discord", because I had the characters talk with hearts and music notes in their dialog. However since then all the rest of my games kept using it, due to me copying code from one game to another, so now I am kinda stuck using it, so I kinda regret that. Not having it is indeed the reason you got that error. Hope that helps. thanks for showing interest!

Yup, I just found a link for it:

Hadn't ever heard of this, to be honest. Good luck to you all on this.
