so i have something coded in director and it runs in full screen even though there is black around it all and the actual window is like 800X600

isn't there a way to run this in window mode?

i remember if you create a short cut and add some coded to the end of the path it will run in window mode. anybody any idea?

doesn't have to be the shortcut solution but anything really.

In the short-cut target, you add "/NOF" (without the speech marks) but for some reason for me on Windows 7 it doesn't always work anymore.

Director, as in Macromedia Adobe Director?

Anyway, if you mean MMF, the -nof switch will stop it from changing the resolution but I don't think it'll do anything if the game window has been set to "maximize on open".

If the actual window is 800x600, which I'm assuming is the case here since you said it has black bars, and not the resolution being changed to 800x600, then it sounds like you might need to find another way to get it to go into windowed other then target commends. I mean they could still work if it was programmed to accept them, but otherwise I don't think those will work in this instance.

Try seeing what Google will pull up, that's how I figured out how to get SimCity 4 to run at 1440x900.

I just realised something: Have you tried running the game normally, and then pressing Alt+Space (to access the window menu) then selecting "Restore"?
