Ok, so I've made a pause menu using the sub-application object. It works fine except for that if I turn off the 'visible at start' option it doesnt come up properly when pressing esc and when it does you have to select the menu with the meny before you can use it. When this option is on it pops up at the start of the frame, which I don't want.

Here is the link to an example I made of it. Play with the 'visible at start' option and witness its retardedness.

think I know the problem.
Work arounds - have a user interactive box with buttons representing the menu items u wish to use, and tie the menus to pressing them buttons, Understand?
this way u can make pretty menus (buttons or sprites)

Oh yeah I think I unsterstand ya. It will be pretty once its in the actual game. This was merely an example that you could view without all the other code.
