This is kind of old now, but still very awesome, and worth watching all the way through.

Thought it would be an interesting point of discussion--in this "inevitable" future where the line between what is digital and what is real is blurred more and more (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFudH8GtcKE ), will there be a place for traditional game design? Will anyone care if there isn't? You know we'll look back on this in 20 years and scoff at its simplicity, just like we do with the first video games. But we still like the classics. Will it be the same with this? Or will video games quickly go the way of hoop rolling?

As a joke, I sometimes say I don't want holodecks to be invented, but wouldn't my tune change once they actually were?

Of course there are bigger, much more important implications, but I've got to make it relevant to the site somehow.

Thoughts!
