Anybody ever have this happen to them? I'm running a game in windowed mode and every time a new frame loads all the desktop icons blink for a second.

Do you know why this is or better still how can I stop it?

Thanks!

Doesn't sound like a big deal - just the stress of loading a new frame causing a delay before the screen is redrawn.
I'd imagine it has much more to do with your computer than the game itself.

This might sound pretty retarded, but have you tried changing your screens refresh rate?

Yeah you're right it's not a big deal I was just curious as to why that happens. My computer's not really awesome or anything so that's a possibility.

I haven't changed my refresh rate ever either.

It's cool, no big deal thank you guys!

i believe it's actually because something mmf2 does when it loads a frame/starts invalidates the desktop and forces windows to refresh it

it's actually pretty annoying because it resets explorer's scrollbar positions
