What is the level of difficulty to make a game like The Super Spy or Crossed Swords by Neo Geo using The Games Factory 2? Basically The Super Spy and Crossed Swords is a 2D side scrolling game with 3D elements (Super Punch Out meets Double Dragon). You move from left to right and use up and down as block. To go into doors you just press up. The only 3D element is the view. Here are some screen shots of the games if you have not played them:

I am looking at a few other engines as well but it seems The Games Factory 2 could really pull this off. Is there any tutorials or games built like this using The Games Factory 2 out there?

Thank You

Watched a crossed swords gameplay video and would have to say that it should be very, very easy to recreate in TGF 2.

Basically the enemies have 3 layers, so all you have to do to test collisions is compare animations and layers (such as player is attacking + monster is not blocking in x direction + monster is on layer x).

I don't really have time to go in depth, but if you have more specific questions (yours are way too broad and make it seem like you want someone else to create all the code for you) just ask and maybe I or someone else will reply.

The super spy looks much more difficult to create due to it being psuedo-3d or whatever.

You would have to ask someone else about that as I know nothing about it since I am not a fan of it =p.

I think both of them would be relatively straight forward. Super spy would require some scaling or predrawn different sized sprites. But I can imagine those being really fun games in click. If you make the graphics as good as those games, I'll code it
