60 fps a second + v-sync + any refresh rate is choppy compared to 100fps a second + v-sync + 60 hz refresh rate

Which object can change the monitor refresh rate to 60hz when the game starts?

Also - pretty much every monitor has a 60hz setting right?

Thanks!

You don't need to change the refresh rate - just leave it alone

Yes you do.

If you run the game at 100fps and 100hz refresh rate with v-sync, the game will run at 100 fps and be MUCH faster than 60 fps.

Running it at 100 fps and 60 hz refresh rate locks it to 60fps, but is much smoother than running it at 60 fps and 60hz refresh rate for some reason.

Thanks. I'm not worried about damaging stuff as I will have several options available.

Also 60hz is pretty much standard as far as refresh rates go. I just don't want the user to go OVER 60hz refresh, which would result in faster gameplay, which is unwanted.

Pal is 50hz, correct?

Edit - I guess i'll try without v-sync and have several options for v-sync.

Is there a way to toggle v-sync in-game?
