Hey there

I'm having aaalot of trouble finding sounds for my games.
All i can find on the net is something that i have to pay for and its crap quality
Is'nt there any free sites with .wav ?
Im looking for all kind of sounds, cars, guns, bombs.. etc..

SFXR for generating low qaulity sound effects.

http://www.freesound.org/ is also a good sound archive.

personally i like the games factory lib ones... they're so bad they go past infinity and come out as awesome!

if i'm desperate i'll record something with the mic and pile effects on it in audacity.

The old favourite . Before SFXR [sp?] and when my library of ripped NES sounds ran out I used to butcher up recorded sounds for effects too. There's a lot to be said for it.

I think all the sound effects in 'Toolkit Bill' were basically my voice filtered about twenty times. I remember my "explosion" noise was just me imitating a gun with some echo built in. My god how shit that was.
