I want to use an active object for a path movement (a nice smooth ball) but need the hot spot or action point in the centre of it... sounds easy enough, but... whenever I change this in editor mode, the hot spot/action point is not affected (always top left of object) when trying to plot a path movement. I am using MMF 1.5.

It's possible that the Alpha object doesn't use MMF's hot spot coordinates and uses its own instead. You might have to set them manually in the event editor.

Miss chloecakes, changing the position of the action point or whatever works fine for normal active objects so I don't think I am doing anything wrong there...

Nim, you're right about setting the hotspot in the event editor but this causes a different sort of problem which I can get round. The hotspot remains top left but the object jumps to it's new coordinates when starting the frame. I don't know why it does this but I can compensate.
