just popped up on the indiegames frontpage. took me a few tries to get the gameplay concept down. it would be a travesty to call this a shooter, buts its a great one.

did you even play it?
you grab enemies and their value gets added to your shield. you can shoot the shield and it cancels out enemies until it reduces to a zero sum. if you dont hit any enemies your blast comes back as a dark energy thing and it follows you around until cancelled out, you cant shoot at, that only adds to its value, it it can only be cancelled out by enemies or your shield.

Yes I did play it, and as a concept I really didn't find it very exciting. I also didn't really enjoy the mouse movement very much.

the mouse movement i understand but whats not cool about the gameplay concept? do you just not like thinking playing shooters??

Why would I want to play a game that's a repetitive, slow shooter combined with maths? His dinosaur game was a lot more fun imo.

I think it's a great little concept. Also check out Wagon Game (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=5539.0 ). Amazing engine. That guy Fifth is a genius

Well, "Wagon Game" kinda lacked actual gameplay, sounds, direction, most of its graphics, presentation, and overall polish. All very important things when it comes to winning favor in a competition. It was really more a prototype than a tangible game.
All the same, I'm glad to hear you liked what was there.
...And I was planning on submitting JiroSum here, but now I'm kinda having doubts.

Nah, it's all MMF2.
You can do a lot with rotating and scaling.

I liked it too, but I also understand why you'd be having doubts about submitting it here. Have you moved to TIGS now Fifth? I don't usually visit their forums but if that's where you'll be releasing games from now on I'll make a point of visiting occasionally.
