GOTM - MAY 2009 - 3RD PLACE!
29th July, 2009 at 19:57:39 -

So I was working on a game and saved. A minute or so after closing c&c (yes click and create) I got a power surge and my computer turned off. Got up and running again and went to change something. . . and my game won't open. I get a "read error". MMF2 freezes if I try to open it and won't do anything with it. The only objects I'm able to get from "pick objects from another application" is text objects.

Anyone had this problem? It doesn't make any sense that the file could have gotten corrupted, I wasn't even working on it when my computer got turned off. I fortunately saved a backup a week ago (too long, but I haven't done that much work lately).

All I really want to do is pull a few graphics I worked on from it. Has anyone done this or have any ideas? Thanks.

only advise i can give you is to turn on backup generation in mmf :< is in the options, will automatically make periodic back ups of your game files in case such things occur
