Looks like another one of those cookie-cutter game makers to me... "plug-ins" for different types of games? Still interesting though.

Has Clickteam released MMF2 in Japanese yet? They really should. It would probably bring them a bit of extra revenue if they could get it marketed right. 'Course, with their current game plan it's not likely.

I'm having a difficult time seeing any tool that's named: [Genre Here] Creator, being at all any good.
Their name alone is a cookie cutter name, much less the games created with it.

AGM doesn't look much better than either MMF2 or Construct. Haven't checked it up in detail, though.

I'm pretty sure a good MMF2 programmer could code a very, very good game. It's got some power. Klikers never seem to get past the tangent of that curve between bad and good programming, though, and most MMF2 games requires so many workarounds that, just at that point before reaching enlightenment, most klikers have already given up.

MMF could do great, though the problem seems to be in Clickteam's marketing style. It's a bit too community-focused. KNP had brilliant marketing - free to play with, came as a demo with some games, came with some magazines. Even though it's not even 2% as good as MMF 1, it made a lot of people excited to use it.

Looks shiny, but all that glitters is not gold.

Besides, I don't feel like hunting for the install file to try it. And isn't it in Japanese or something? ...

It looks ok, aparently you can make 360 games and export to flash which is great, but it's not free- and not being free I'd rather buy MMF2 or simply get Construct for free.

Why would I want to make 360 games? The PC is the most popular console out there

There are english translations.

Just because something can compile for the 360 doesn't necessarily mean it's good. I seem to recall a website I stumbled across with a tool that apparently allowed you to export to XNA/XBOX360. It was the most awful looking tool I've ever seen. Cheesola graphics and cookie-cutterness.

Not that tool this is that way.... But that one was. XBOX360 compatibility is really just being able to make use of the appropriate libraries.

Yes. Those are the same examples that came with KNP. They really need to replace all those with some much much better ones.

Exporting to XNA? Wow.
That should be the next big thing for all these software suites. But given the time it took for Java I doubt it's on Clickteam's cards.

Well the XBL has seen great games really. Castle Crashers, I'd say, was epic. The PSN, on the other hand, has pretty decent games but I havent seen anything like castle crashers yet. Anyway, AGM looks pretty good. Not very powerful but good. I'm pretty sure it has built-in enemy AI like follow player. You could do it with RMXP in a click and with MMF you have to do it in tons of lines and even that doesnt always work. So yeah, looks simple and easy. Will try it whenever I get the chance.
