A couple of my .cca files as well as an INI file are all of a sudden unreadable by MMF. Is there any way of recovering corrupt files? I'm using MMF 1.5 in Vista. It's sods law... normally I back up my files although they may have messed up during the save to hard disk. Any help would be appreciated, thanks , Dave aka Orangery.

I think they become messed up, I'll remember me to have same problems sometimes, so I believe you need your backup files...

I don't know about the INI's, but I read once that files of an older click product can be read by a newer one, but that was in relation to Tgf and Mmf.

... welll I did a chkdsk and it found loads of errors on the external hard drive where my corrrupt files were. One it got rid of completely and the other Multimedia fusion files (.cca) were reduced to very small files so were rendered useless . Then I used a program called 'Easeus' which is meant to recover lost files. I was quite surprised when it retrieved the INI file (game levels). Most of it was there intact... had to edit it slightly as there was jibberish at the end (lost three levels). The other .cca files were also retrieved except that they won't open at all. MMF displays an error message stating that the application was made in an older version of the program... it wasn't though! What's going on?
