In mine I just create a couple of physics objects and have them move around and such. With an overall counter that controls what to do and where, and it pauses when text is displayed. That kind of thing.
I did kinda have one in my latest game's ending. But it was just a counter counting from 0 upward forever and events at certain points.
counter = 10 only once when event loops ---> set player animation to walk
counter = 50 only once when event loop ---> ser player animation to stop
counter = 1000 ---- > end game.
