Is there a way for XP, or maybe an extension or something that limits the speed of an app? Setting the affinity of a CPU doesn't work since MMF games aren't multicore/CPU aware (I believe). Say you have a Core2Duo 2.5ghz and want to set the speed to say, a P4 2ghz or whatever and could emulate that speed realistically?

I think there are apps that can let you speed up and slow down your pc. People use them to speedhack online games.

I assume you're trying to test your game on a slower computer?

You could try downloading Windows Virtual PC (it's free) and installing Windows on it. I'm pretty sure that lets you choose processing speed etc.
