I painted this backdrop for my game, Catharsis (big surprise!).
I used Photoshop with a wacom 4x3.

Time: about an hour.

Check out how my game is coming along. I have a project page here:

and I have a project page here as well (not updated as often)

What is it? Vines or mountines? Well whatever it is, I *love* it! Great job, keep it up!

I'd like to see more like this.

I think it could probably use a wider variety of hues, that single green in the foreground is a little uninteresting.

If you download the game, you'll see that there's multiple backgrounds. I'm using layers with parallax in my game. I've toned this background down a lot as it has too much contrast

I still think you should add more hue to the background, because the green is still almost the same as the foreground. Another suggestion, since the character has so much depth and detail to it, you really need to do the same to the foreground. Now you can do that several ways, but my advice is to try adding black and more detail to those objects.
