If you don't mind, can i use that animation as a study "tutorial". If your wondering why, yes, my stuff sucks. Just search for my art posts in the forums here or on imageshack. I was going to anyway but i thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.
All platforming problems can be mostly solved here:
At the start, the boobs bouncing animation on the right person looks a bit weird. Keep some of the upper lighter pixels maybe to smooth it out? Otherwise looks cool.

If you try yourself, you'll see animating them can kinda tricky. But sure, there is always room for improvement.

If I had more free time I'd start up a 'kill someone's avatar' thread here as well.
And if I did do that, I'd be more the happy to draw my character's beating the stuffing out of your's... providing you can draw your one and not steal sprites from other people's games.
Also, there is no hidden message here. It's not blacks vs whites or girls vs guys. The character I used just happened to be the one I was currently drawing at the time for my game.
Actually, i think that might be a good idea for the digital works section around here. My redone avatar is the result of looking at your 'example' here. Give me a week and i might come up with something...

Being in the navy, I'm always pressed for time. We work 12 hour days (or longer) while out at sea. And when we do pull into a port, as we are now, it's not a vaction. There is still a lot of BS to deal with. Now, don't get me wrong, being in the navy does have it's perks, namely living in Japan, but I think the bad out weighs the good.
Anyways~.. on topic. If you want me to kill your character, email me a one of your characters on a a bmp with a blank background. And if you use tgf's default pallet that would save me time, as thats what I use for all my sprites.
The idea is that anyone that I attack should attack me back to get revenge for their damaged character. If you are really looking to improve, don't use any high end programs for speical effects; draw everything yourself. Also, people using clearly edited or stolen sprites will be ingored. You won't get better piggybacking off someone else's work. I've drawing for well over 12 years and it's a slow process... but nothing beats the feeling of knowing everything you draw is your own.
