Probably wrong forum, but, i think we need to have links and articles explaining how to make sprite art. Sure there are tons of stuff out there. But, how do i find it from a game community site?

All platforming problems can be mostly solved here:

www.zephni.com

These are very excellent examples by other people and are very informative.

Use the "search DC" feature and search for "pixel art", "sprite" or similar keywords in the Articles section?

There probably are articles somewhere. You just need to take some time to dig them out.

However ive found it quite tricky to search for pixel art on the internet because 100% of the results seem to be those bloody isometric habbo hotel type scenes.

Dunno if you've seen this already but check out Derek Yu's tutorial. It helped me out a fair bit:.

I was thinking more on the lines of having some of us do some tutorials. I know there are some here already but...There not very helpful and very basic. If a click noob came to get art help, they're sadly out of luck. So I was thinking of doing a couple. Would this be a good idea or not? Maybe a platform character and an rpg character or some tile sets. Because, aside from code, thats what people need too.

Basically people here are too lazy, and really, art etc. is what pixel art sites are for... apart from people showing off. Although I do agree, there should be more stuff on how to make tilesets and iso characters and other types of styles that fit in to gaming.

If nothing happens about that here, I'll make a special art help (or something named better) area at www.klikbox.net
