Not bad so far.
It does looks a little scruffy.

I think the character is too large for a game where you run so fast though.
Also the background would probably hurt my eyes if i played it (meaning the orange lines in the background)

Oh gee, no Sonic Adventures DX Director's Cut (what a name!) music. >_<

Some suggestions.
- The logo has lots of white trash around it. To fix this, make the logo on a background of the same colour as the game's title screen background, or make your own border around it.
- The background in the beginning is very black, some variation and background objects might make things look less empty.
- Get more original music.
- The main menu could use some work. Spice up the buttons with the active system box, for example, for some less boring buttons. Try making the menu's background more than just one colour. Keep everything around the same style (the white textbox and beige button look way out of place!) and it's probably a good idea to make the menu navigatable (grammar?) with the keyboard.
- Better make clear that those grey things at the side of the main menu can be clicked, too. Add some description to it (you know, vertical text).
- The background when the game starts doesn't look too great, I'd stick with a logical background, like a few sky colour tints.
- It's not terrible that you use library graphics, but they're so overused you'd be better off making your own graphics for that.
- The main character sprite is too big compared with everything else and the game resolution.
- Try not to make the music restart at every frame. Since this is TGF, that will be a bit more difficult I think. MMF and better allows you to play music over frames without interruption.
- The backgrounds in every level are almost the same, with one colour change. That's not good, the background should be completely different for every kind of level. When you're outside in the night in the rain, the background is usually black/very dark blue with some stars and rain, but in a factory level you'd see a steel wall background etcetera.
- Everything seems to be shocking and there are some animation problems. You're probably using the default platform system that causes these bugs/annoyances, and it will not be fun to play with that buggy default movement system in fast games like this. You'd better try and learn how to make a custom movement system!

And now... I wish you goo luck making a nice game! Hope you take some of my criticism and comments into consideration.

EDIT: holyshit I typed a lot!

The engine seems pretty solid. How does it cope with wall collision?

One thing though: the movement system still seems to rely on the size of the sprite's animation. To fix this, you could have one invisible block sprite instead, which never changes size, and have the movement work on that. Then overlay the actual girl sprite over it.
