Hello.

Earlier today, I got an e-mail from a magazine that wants a game that I made on their sample-CD. I made the game with MMF2(not developer), do I need some kind of extra licence to give the magzine permission to use my game? Do I need the "Fueled by Fusion"-logo or something more?

Only if you/they sell it for gold.

If you want to be careful, you can stick some sort of Creative Commons license (see http://creativecommons.org/license/) to it, and you should be safe.

Stick a "Created with MMF2" somewhere in it, with the mmf logo.

And clickteam logo.

Is the magazine paying you for letting them put your game on the disc? If not, then I'd say it's safe because you're not making any money on it.

- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -

Yeah, just throw the Clickteam logo in there for good measure. Click games getting in magazines is pretty normal if a bit uncommon. Congrats, once you get some confimation you should post it up.

Was it Tomas Kretchka(?) from Level, a Czech magazine, by any chance? They're cool, but be warned, I never did get my copy of the issue my game was in.

I'll agree that it's pretty sad that they essentially lie to you, especially when they are the ones that OFFER to send you a copy. For a larger magazine, sending out a few copies overseas isn't really gonna break them. It's one of those things that we tend to grudgingly accept, as the exposure is usually fantastic (Setting off a chain reaction where your game is included in LOTS of other magazines because they saw it in that one).

We should start a list of Gaming Magazines that say they'll send you a copy, then never do.
