My old game "The Kill Yourself Game" isn't working, and I'm not sure I have the original files for it so the copy I have on the net is probably the only copy I have. Problem is, when you try to open it, you get a "File error!" message. Is there anyway to fix this? perhaps a missing file or something? The game was made with The Games Factory btw.
I know this is a pretty stupid thing to check for, especially if you're not new to kliking, but TGF uses a different DLL then MMF and MMF2, if you didn't include it with your original download, try looking around for 'cncs32.dll' or just install TGF.
PS: I'm assuming you reformatted the hard drive or something, and find your game not working anymore. I could be completely off.
it's been broken for so long that i frankly don't remember when it started happening or what caused. The music i made for the game is in .it format, which led me to try and put bass.dll in c:\windows\system32 along with TGF's cnc-whatever.dll and i'm still in no luck.
Man, it would certainly help if the error message was a little more descriptive could it be some TGF plugin that i forgot about that needs some files?
after much trouble, i solved the problem. I used DMC2 in my game, and it appears the newest version of bass.dll isn't backward compatible, so you need an old version of the dll file for it to work.
