I have a game in MMF which is nearing completion; however it seems to have the infamous "sound repeating glitch" which causes the game to lag to hell and repeat the sound over and over and over. I also have this problem where objects seem to be getting stuck (newly created ones, shots and wreckage) on the screen for no reason. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Please, it's really annoying me because otherwise it's near perfect.

On the plus side, I had no idea this place existed. I might get the demo for the game up here as soon as I get the chance. =

I've found, for TGF at least, that if you take the compiled .exe and go to its properties, and set it to "Windows 95 Compatability Mode", it will reduce the crashing by 90%. This is of course, only if you use windows XP or so.

.WAV. I submitted the demo to the site, you should have a fairly good idea of how it plays and how the engine works when it gets put up.

EDIT: Demo is here

Don't quote me on this, but I think playing a midi at the start of the frame, then stopping it, and playing the wav a few code loops later fixes the lag problems

Try loop-playing a blank MIDI file in the background.
