Got bored after school today and decided to fire off a quick match of Age of Empires 3. Recorded it so I could watch it later down the line, and I think the match turned out pretty nicely.

Game Rules:
3 Players
Free for All
Medium
Fast
Large Texas Map
Discovery Age (Start)
No Cheats

So yeah, if you have Age of Empires 3, tell me what you think, just put it into My Documents>My Games>Age of Empires 3>Savegame and go to Recorded Games in Age of Empires 3.

RTS matches have always been boring to me. Except for the ones in Rome: Total War, those require some skill and have a lot of unpredictable battles. My brother once played a losing battle against me, I expected his men to die quickly, then his catapult lobbed a boulder on my general and all my men panicked, lol. Superpower 2 also does a nice job, if you'll call that a RTS.

The ones in turn-based games, strangely enough, are more fun to watch. Dominions, Conquest of Elysium, Heroes of Might & Magic, Age of Wonders. Maybe it's because both sides spend hours building up a great army and the big battle's something you really look forward to.

So is AOE3 actually any good? The series is the only set of RTSses at which I'm not totally useless - AOE2 genuinely feels as if you're building something tactically rather than just churning out medium tanks a la Command and Conquer.

I'd also like to mention that I'm yet to find an FPS with a decent replay feature. I would have thought that would be the genre it was most in demand.

It's... fun, like those soccer. It's not actually special in terms of balance, strategy, etc. But it's fun. Maybe it's the graphics. BTW, damn nice gfx card you have there, Brandon.

So far, CS is the only FPS with a good replay feature. But after going against the 5th best team in Malaysia, I really don't feel like touching CS anytime soon. BF series and every other FPS with respawning never appealed to me, there's no.. 'tension' to it. CS keeps you on the edge of your seat if you really play to win.

Oh, SWAT 4's also damn good... probably the best FPS on the market. It's so good I stopped playing it for being too addictive. Nothing more fun than lobbing a sting grenade to a camping terrorist then handcuffing him .
