My puzzle game is almost finished but there is an irritating sound conflict.

A short piece of music plays on the first screen which is fine until I click on a playing piece which emits a sound sample (which it should do). The volume of the MIDI file seems to double in loudness until I release the mouse. This happens only once though! If I restart the game or go to other levels it's fine... what's going on here?

if you are using MMF you could insert the mixer extension and insert an event like:

+Start of Frame
-Change Left and Right Wave Volume to: 50
-Change Left and Right FM Synthesizer Volume to: 50

this will set the volume of all samples and music to your chosen level.

Lembi, I've got round it by making a sample play (made up of silence) the same time as a MIDI file on the introduction screen... it worked!
