I heard lots of people having trouble with the "Resize display to fill current window size" option, saying it made the game slow.
My game is 400x300 pixels, and for users who have a high windows resolution and don't want to play the game full screen, it's just a bit painful to play. (I'm on 1280x1024 and it's hard to see small objects)
So i thought of setting "Resize display to fill current window size" and then an option in the game to set the window size to 800x600 (double size). How many people will have trouble running it with this option? And if the Resize option is ticket, but the window size is standard (400x300) will it cause a problem for anyone?
No, it'll be fine at the normal resolution. I sometimes use a method that allows the player to cycle between two or three resolutions by hitting backspace or F1 or something.
Also, this was kind of asked in another thread, but it confused me.
When the game is run full screen (400x300) it is fine on my computer, but others have said it has uneven black borders (usually at the bottom and right side), is this just because certain graphics cards don't support this resoultion or what?
Well, the ratio is right so it should work fine for most people. Sounds like a video card issue. Mine does something similar when frames of a certain size are set to fullscreen.
Lol yeah, but then i tried it on my mates computer, and i adjusted screen size and position and still struggled to get it centered, even with the auto-adjust button... it was weird and annoying.
