how do you guys capture your sound and stuff, like gun sounds? or do you just rip them?

www.findsounds.com is a great site for sounds, and this is another project dedicated ot getting free sounds: http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/

Personally, I often take sounds from Counter Strike Source, or Day of Defeat for shooting.

I either record myself and run it through some filters, or rip sounds and mess with them. I don't mind ripped sounds, but I hate recognising old samples.
