I have a game with eight directions movement + jump. But, the problem is: Player can jump to every direction except to north-west, south-east and south-west. But he CAN jump to north-east. So, what's wrong? Why it's impossible to jump to those three directions? Argh! Help me, if you know what's wrong.
PS: Jump engine is from tgf example game called Magician's lair. It can be downloaded from clickteam.com

What key are you using for jumping? In TGF, and I'm pretty sure in MMF too, the programs don't recognize some keys for certain jumping. Try using a different key instead.

Oh, thanks. Problem vanished when I changed the button. With spacebar, it does not work. But it works now... DAMN! Spacebar was so good button but now i hav e to think about resetting all buttons... But thanks again!

Most keyboards don't allow certain combinations of keys to be pressed at one time - I heard this was called "keyboard clash" ages ago, but I haven't seen the term used for years. My keyboard has a problem having Up+Left+Any other key pressed at a time, but is fine with every other direction - I tend to use IJKL instead of the arrow keys to solve it.

Ahhh...so thats the problem...I always thought it was just TGF when I used to use the arrow key movement and spacebar for shoot, as I would only shoot in 5 directions instead of the 8...hmm...I'll have to check and see if this keyboard is like that too...although the combination alone even working for me, wouldn't matter if I wanted to release a game with that combo.
