I'm having trouble trying to simulate board game movement with MMF. It would be in the same style as Mario Party; You move around this board depending on the number you rolled and when you come to a junction you get to choose which way you go. I tried using the Advanced Path object and it works great for getting what space you're on, and moving a certain number of spaces but I can't get the junctions to work properly. Is there any way past this, using the object or not?

Probably using the Advanced Board Game object?
Never tried it but I'll assume that works.

That is probably why you should try it. It's more designed for puzzle games than board games.

No one else can help...?

I poked around in the extension's help file a bit. Perhaps you can use "Compare two general values" on the Node ID (under the journey subheading, using an argument of 0 to tell it to find the ID of the current node) to determine if it's on a fork and then take in the appropriate input. Then use the "find journey to node" action to tell the piece to go in the proper direction?

I still think the game board object will work - just because the example files included with the extension are mainly puzzle games, doesn't mean it was made for puzzle games. The object sets an imaginary grid for you and you could easily make that into some kind of board game.

Noyb: I tried that and yet, for some odd reason the object simply refused to go ahead with the action. I even repeated it and made a delay for it to try and get it to move and it just refused me. I'm not sure if it's MMF or the object itself but it seems to be a no go.

Flava: If I wanted a grid, I use the Easy Grid or some other grid object that was specifically made to put a grid up, it's just that much easier that way.
