I was thinking of getting MMF PRO, but $300 USD is just crazy. Is MMF PRO worth all of that $$$, or should I just stick with Standard?

If your heavily into Application making, Yes.
Commercial user, Yes.
If your a freeware hobbyist game maker, No.

For me it was well worth it, as i was mainly into developing applications and PRO provides many extensions thatll expand the possibilities for application developing.

If you already own MMF Standard, you can ask for a discount.

@Crystal Clear: Well, applications are my main focus these days. I thought MMF Pro only had like 5 more extensions. I tried the Dialog Box object in MMF Standard (Clickteam lets you design it, but not anything else in, MMF Standard)and it looks really ossum. Maybe I should get MMF Pro.

@X_Sheep: I was wondering about that. Clickteam doesn't have any upgrade posted on their website, but I thought that there probably was one because clickteam would almost certainly make more money that way. Where can I find out more?

MMF Pro isnt bad, but in the end, if your that in to creating powerful applications or commercial programs, just learn a programming language, that way you arent limited by something you paid $300 for, because MMF Pro may be better the Standard in many aspects, its still very limited as far as applications go, expecially sence most application idea's out there, that could have been accomplished in MMF, were already long thought of, finished, and released.

I have tried about 5 different programming languages without success. I don't think that all applications that MMF can do have already been made; it really is a powerfull tool.

MMF PRO is supposed to be an investment. Because you can legally sell anything you make. So assuming you're good enough to make enough money with it, $300 is a fair asking price i'd say.

I agree with Andy on that note, but on a different note, MMF is powerful, but basicly only raises itself to the line, in game design, because MMF alone is to limited to something that wasnt already created. Something as simple as MMF locking (pausing) the entire game/application, as soon as its minimized, this alone, pins a hand full of ideas. In the end, if you want to make money off of application design, I'd recommend learning a program language, and taking it serious so that you actually learn it. I think the idea that MMF Pro is sitting with the ability to design applications, powerful or not, is holding you back. MMF is powerful yes, but is, in my oppinion, far too limited for true application design, and with that said, if you still want to get MMF Pro, good luck, I hope you prove me wrong, but I think alot of people will agree with me when I say, you will find yourself dodging alot of bugs & limitations to get to the finale you release.
In addition to that, I am not againced MMF in any way, I'm just telling it like it is, I am still an MMF user, but for games rather then applications.
