... Ronnie Barker passed away yesterday. He was one of Britain's most loved comedians. May he rest in peace.

agreed - a true professional - what were his best parts? For me (and I know it's overstated) it has to be the FOUR CANDLES sketch - either that or a particular Porridge episode

Porridge, Two Ronnies, Open All Hourse - generally all brilliant.

I used to love watching him when I was younger. I think the "Four Candles" sketch suffers from a huge amount of overplay, though - my favourite is the one that they showed after it in the tribute programme last night, the "Mastermind" one.

I liked the Optician sketch the best. The man and his genius will be etched in stone for generations to come, his death is very saddening.

legend of a guy. when i saw David Jason talking about him on BBC news on tuesday you could tell it had a massive impact on him. thats the first guy i wanted to hear from, more so than Ronnie Corbett.

				It's a real shame...

Despite being quite old now, I love Porridge, Open all hours and The two ronnies. I hope they show some repeats of either.

But I've always liked Monty Python above all British comedians.
