Some of you may have noticed that my avatar changes every minute now, I am not doing anything. See, I made this application that takes a list of pictures that I define, and uploads a different one every minute. Should I go through some extra work to make it downloadable here, or is it not worth it?

If your server supports PHP, you can do this with a PHP script. It basically picks a random image and sends it back to the user.

But if your server doesn't, i suppose this could be a way to do it.

I was thinking of making a little PHP script and an application which would run on the taskbar and talk to the php script every few seconds, just to remind it that I'm still online. If the script doesn't receive a reply for 20 seconds, it changes the avatar to an 'i'm not online' one.

This way by your avatar, people can see if you're online or not!

Or what could be easier if you develop the script so that when you're visiting a certain site, this one for example, it will show the online avatar. If you press X, it recognises that you're not on that site anymore and display your offline avatar.

The beauty of the internet.

So, should I post it here or not. I am having some problems with it now, and the problem with problems in a program like this is that everybody can see it.

It'd be nice if you got it working , but you don't need anymore projects.
