I don't get it. I'm making a game with Mooclick. (i read also the 2 articles about it). I don't think it is hard at all and I'm sure I got the coding right. People can host a game but they cannot join. I read that that has got something to do with port 1203tcp. I shut down my firewall and the other player did too but it didn't help.

Does someone have the ultimate solution to this or maybe an alternative port? (if i want to make a big online game and everyone has to set up their ips and ports for 10 minutes before they can play the game... i don't know if that's so cool)

Well, you can use any port that isn't being used by something else. It's just a number. However, there's no reason 1203 shouldn't work. Double-check your firewall. Some routers and broadband modems have them built-in, so check those too. Could even be your ISP, if you're doing this over the net.

no it wasn't the code. it was the setup of my router and my firewall . it was what i expected, but it wasn't easy (for me). people outside the lan still cannot join me though but i guess i'll figure that out
