Ok, here's the thing. Im making a side-scrolling platformer kinda like Mario right. I want to put a status area in one of the corners, but when It scrolls , the status doesn't stay in the corner of the screen , it just goes off into the distance while I run. I need to make it so it follows the screen. How can I do this?

In the object's scrolling properties, untick follow the frame. Put the status object in the top left of the frame and it will stay there.

Ok, cool thanks. Is it appropriate to post a thanks note after someone replies?

yes, you should let people know if their advice worked or not and give them some credit by saying thanks and/or putting them under special thanks in the credits.
