I have a small question that the subject of this post pretty much completly sums up 100%
Is there a way to create panoramic scenes in MMF, from 3Ds Max 6? Because I am trying to create detailed scenes that I would love to have done panoramicly in MMF, to create very interesting & interactable 3D looking & feeling scenes. Is this at all possable to do? If so, could anyone help me out in actually doing it?

I think there's a Fisheye Object that can do something like this. I'm sure I've seen an example included with the extention.

Fisheye? Maybe you mean the lens extension coming with one of the MMF Bonus Packs?

I wouldn't have thought the lens object would be good for that. I can't think if it would even be possible. Maybe the overlay object could achieve something similar, but if it was possible with that I doubt it would run at a decent speed. I can't think of any other method, don't even know if Overlay would do it, I don't know how to use that, and I'm rambling on like an old twat now.

Brandon Cassata: maybe go into a little more detail about what you're after. I think I've experimented with some similar things but I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about.

I think he's shooting for a game like Myst, only where you're able to pan around the scene from a stationary point. Sort of like a Quicktime VR movie.

Oh, well in that case I've done that very thing in a silly game I'm working on right now, which actually started off as an experiment in seamless wrapping.

So, like, when you scroll right far enough you find yourself on the left again without noticing.

If that's the sort of thing you mean Brandon, lemme know and I'll show you the source. It's pretty easy.

Thats exactly what I'm looking for. Basicly its exactly what was added in Myst Excile. Where you can view the scene in 360 degre's in all views (including Up & Down if thats possable).

Okay, DCmailing you the link on a temporary freeserver. I just uploaded the whole thing as I don't feel like extracting the important parts... I don't remember what they were anyway. I've been drinking all morning.
Anyway, provided you can produce the panoramic backgrounds somehow (+overlap at the edges), this should work fine on the Y axis as well. The experiment worked perfectly so I think it's the sort of thing I may play around with more in the future.
