Ok, i've been working on a level editor and it places tiles by pasting active objects into the background as obstacles. but if you scroll of the screen and come back, they disappear. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I'm not sure, but check or uncheck the options you see in the level editor when you right click an object. It may have something to do with that.

I have tried that kinda things in tgf too, but the problem is that always if the screen scrolls away from a PASTED backdrop, it will erase it. In mmf that isnt a problem 'cause you can use an "add a backdrop" action.

there may be a solution for tgf too but i dont know.

I don't think there's a way to fix this in TGF.

you may be able to use fastloop to redraw the tiles as they come back into the screen, but this would slow stuff down.

Your best bet for level editors is to use MMF I'm afraid

Yup, there's no way to fix the problem unless you get MMF - more specifically, MMF 1.5. As stated above it has an "add backdrop" feature which permanantly adds a backdrop
