Hey all, not long ago I was playing RCT3 & after a little bit of not playing, I went to play & suddenly I notice the sound is rapidly repeating itself, like I was at the menu & I put my mouse over a button & the sound effect plays like 50x, & lags the game up really badly, the music also rapidly messess up alot. It does the same thing ingame also. I tried first restarting my PC, that didnt work, then I completly uninstalled & reinstalled the game. That didnt work, I checked for updates, that didnt work. I have absolutly no idea what is wrong or how to fix it. The same thing happens with my ArcaneTale game, which is one of the reasion it was discontiued. So if anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

You might try downloading new drivers for your sound card.

Yeah that happens to me with certain MMF and TGF games but only certain ones for some reason. Thats why none of my games have sound effects.

With my pc the game will pause and unless you hold down a key. But play the last sound effect over and over. The only way to combat this is to disable sounds before this happens.
Also more recently MMF games crash a lot for no apparent reason. But again only certain ones do.

I remove all the code from ArcaneTale in a test to fix it & it still does it. I transfer it to a different CCA & it still does it. There has to be something wrong with the PC rather then the programs, because they are both doing the exact same thing, both ArcaneTale & RCT3.

It could be your sound card. If I remeber right my dads old pc used to go REALLY slow if a midi was playing during gameplay on any TGF game.
It was only a problem with the sound because after disabling the music it was fine.

and any game using dmc or non midi based music would be fine too.

Try going Start > Run and then type
d x d i a g
(without the spaces, damn smilies) and click ok

run the sound based tests, if you have onboard software based sound (evil things) it should set it up to run correctly (software buffering and stuff rather than hardware it has not got).

Thats a common tip for games
