I hate it when guys don't die when you shoot them. I think you have to add to an alterable value when they get hit by a bullet, and then kill the guy once his alterable value is greater than 2 or something like that. Depends on how strong this guy is. I mean, he could be a superhero, or a weakling. That makes a lot of difference, you know, although you probably didn't realise it. That's why you should be descriptive in all of your posts. You might not realise that a weakling gets killed by one bullet, so there would be no point to having an alterable value, and then you'd look a right twit by asking this question. Not that you don't already, what with that stupid avatar and all. And to think you have problems just because you can't get some guy to die. The rest of the world is having problems because people are dying, in wars and from hunger and from countless diseases. If they read your post, they'd get really pissed off at you. I know I would. Livin' it up with your cool car, just waiting for them to deliver a spoiler and neon lights so you can look da man and pump up da volume with your sound system. What a sad idiot. Nobody cares about that. Nobody wants to listen to hip hop on 500 megawatt speakers. Nobody wants to listen to hip hop on 500 milliwatt speakers. They'd rather listen to it with no speakers, so they don't have to hear how crap it is. But you love it because you have your bling and your cool car. Some people have never even heard of bling. Some people only just about know what food is. I'm sure the vibration from your sound system would shatter their fragile little bones, all because you want to listen to your hip hop. HIP HOP KILLS PEOPLE. It's been proven in the newspapers and at funerals. By listening to hip hop, you are nothing more than a murderer. I hope you can live with that on your conscience.

Nuklear it's your fault - your question was pretty vague. You didn't explain what you were actually trying to do. What are you using the values for?

Then poor firemonkey writes a whole essay for you, and you slag him off! How dare you. Next time - try explaining what you want to do (e.g. when the guy gets shot twice, I want him to die - how do I do it with alterable values?)

"They guy is suppose to die when the bullet hits him but he stays alive"

That can be done with a simple "Bullet collides with guy" - "kill guy". That's how vague your question is. DONT TAKE IT OUT ON OUR FRIEND CHRIS!

When "bullet" hits "guy" - Add 1 to alterable value A of "guy"
When Alterable Value A of "guy" is greater than 2 - Destroy "guy"

2 is just an example, raise or lower it depending on how many hits he takes. Make sure you use "greater than" or "greater than or equal to" rather than "equal to" - otherwise there's a chance that it'll take 2 simultaneous hits and go over the value, then you'll never be able to get rid of it.

Quoth the post:
"I think you have to add to an alterable value when they get hit by a bullet, and then kill the guy once his alterable value is greater than 2 or something like that."

Obviously I thought you were intelligent enough to read the second sentence at least, even if you didn't bother reading the rest of it. And if you did read that, when what else do you need? Do I have to send you an example CCA file, or do you not understand that all the actions are grouped into nice little menus that tell you what they relate to? I thought it was common sense that you would do what Wong just said - after all, you don't think "omg teh bullet collidad with teh man and he gets 1 altarable value point!!", you think "when the bullet hits the man, add 1 to the alterable value". Or at least, that's what you should think, but most people today don't know how to think. They just ask other people and get them to do their work just so they can spend all their time watching TV and lazing around. It's as if everyone is a sheep now, thet they can't think for themselves and have to be told what to do, and have no common sense. It's just like the board of directors in any company that has them, or any council ever. They have no idea what really works, so they implement all manner of stupid schemes and wrap their employees up in red tape. Nothing ever gets done, everyone has to go and fill out 10 forms for every little thing that they actually get to do. No wonder everything is going down the pan when you have incompetent fools managing things. I tell you, it won't be long until a socialist revolution comes along and stops all this stupidity, and make everything work so it doesn't benefit stockholders. The day when everything stops being for profit will be an important one, and there's nothing you capitalist pigs can do about it. NOTHING!

This is such a simple question to answer. And the answer is:

ORANGE HIPPO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, Chris already answered your question. In a very disturbed sort of way. But hey, what do you expect from a guy who loves to see monkeys on fire?
