I was just looking at some previews on the site, and I noticed that games with stick figure characters are getting bashed like crazy. Now, I admit the games in question sucked, but the point was that they were not bashed because of their crappiness, but simply because stick figures were present. People who never even downloaded the games mentioned it.

Anyway, I'm saying all of this because of a game I'M working on, which is basically an action rpg platformer game. You know, switch between weapons, exp, levelling up, long game, all the good stuff. Well, the problem is that I absolutely cannot draw humans. I can draw anything else, but people just stump me. So what I did is make stick figure characters, which actually look very good in the enviroment, with fairly fluid animation. I know anyone who actually plays the game whenever it's released will love it (not to brag, but really), but I'm afraid no one will try because they think it's "just another stupid noob game." What do you guys think? I'd like to know your opinions on the subject.

P.S. You may notice my rating is "Rookie Member" and that I haven't submitted anything worthwhile. I'd just like to say that I've been clicking for upwards of five years now, and the only reason I never submit anything is because I'm a perfectionist. I wanted to wait to submit stuff until I was really good, and I believe I am now. Also, there have been a few problems with hard drive erasure, rampant crashing, and all of that crap.

- EDIT -

Here's a link to my website which has an early screenshot of my new project and some other crap. http://www.geocities.com/thylordobsidion/Home.html

won't you look up at the skyline
at the mortar, block, and glass
and check out the reflections in my eyes?
you see they always used to be there
even when this all was grass
and I sang and danced about a high-rise

i don't have anything against stick games personally. i don't think many other people do either. i mean, look at furry, or milber (easy to get them confused ) - basically just blobs as characters, but still the games were popular. if the game dynamic is good, people won't care if it's a stick figure or not.

As long as it looks like a fun game, I'll download it. Stickmen are just fine by me; I understand that not everyone has extraordinary spriting talent (Myself included ).

For the record, I think stick-figure suck balls. I'd rather see a game with shitty sprites than a game with stick-figure sprites.
