I'm wondering if any completed fan games ever had any kind of splitscreen of any kind, gameplay reasons, multiplayer etc.

Not many people add those into there games, either the game doesnt need it, they are too lazy too, or they just dont know how too. Its really easy though.

If by "multiplayer" you mean exclusively on the same computer, there aren't too many, but quite a few games have attempted netplay. My very first submission to the site was entirely multiplayer, and I have a few more games in the same vein - but I haven't released them, as the days of crowding four people around a keyboard are long gone. It's rather sad, really.

I know how to do split-screen, it's pretty easy.
