this is a comment to the article 'newbies and the "others" ' - the comment was so big i couldn't fit it in a comment... so here it is. I suggest you read the previous article so you know what this is about...

*********
we are not BASHING the newbies, we are telling them: DONT POST CRAP! ask for help, there are plenty of tutorials, both coding and graphics, and if your a newbie and actually make a good game (it happens) we won't bash you. If you DO make a completly rubbish game, and start saying how it's the best thing since sliced water, then we'll tell you where you can stuff it you overblown egomaniac. If you can't take the truth, then your not much of a person. So do what most of us did, make a game, look at it, and i mean REALLY look at it, and see what's wrong with it, make a new game and fix what you felt was wrong, the only way you can get better is if you bloody well do it yourself and do it alot.
Don't expect us to code your game, or draw your graphics. If you want to know a technique we use, ask and we'll help, but ask us how you make someone shoot a bullet and we'll turn round and tell you to read the manual.

Practice before filling our lives with useless crap... that 600kb file you posted on the site will be about 5 minutes of my life that i could have used doing something productive.
Remember, it's not only your time your wasting, it's other peoples time, if your smart, you will be able to spot the flaws and repair them. If not, maybe the community is not for you. Maybe kliking is not for you. Maybe your more at home in an office sorting finances and making budgets. You never know.

As for people wanting to make the game they have dreamed of, well, good on you. just get practise making other games. I always wanted to make a sonic the hedgehog clone, but 3 years in the community has yet to see me do it. 3 years has seen me release about 8 proper games. Many of which i must say were crap, but certainly of a higher calibre than 'the immortal truth' (although, we are still not sure if that was a joke) or 'Galatasary Car' (remember that from the old Click cafe days?)

Forget bashing newbies, you newbies should stop bashing us 'oldies'
I think that most of us have been truthful and helpful, and if you can't take constructive critisim you should go away and tell your mum.
