At this stage it's still an idea I'm working on. I'm currently sketching on the characters and will be making some test sprites of them as well and upload them here.
I did however make the healthbar when I seriously started to form the idea. It might not be the one I actually use. But so far I kinda like it.

Looks nice, but I think you should use Neo-Geo Arcade fighting games as your source of reference. Because there are some points in figthing games that everyone will always look for and Neo-Geo arcade fighting games are a good reference
